If you are Citizens of India as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent resident of Assam can apply for the posts of Assistant teachers at Lower Primary and Upper Primary Schools on contractual basis under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Assam.
The procedure of selection of teachers will be as per Government rules. Marks obtained by you in TET/CTET, academic qualification, professional qualification and excellence at NCC ( B or C certificate), State level sports, cultural activities will be taken into consideration for preparing the district wise selection list.
The posts are mainly available in remote areas of Assam and the interested candidates must be physically and mentally ready to serve in these remote areas. Only Bengali medium TET qualified candidates will be eligible to apply in the posts of Barak valley districts.
Almost 3914 posts of Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary and Upper Primary Schools will be filled on contractual basis under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Assam.

Age Limit:
To get a Sarkari Sakori in the schools, you must be between 18-43 years of age as on 1 st January,2016 for teacher recruitment in Assam 2016 under SSA Assam.
Relaxation of upper age limit will be applicable for SC, ST (P), ST (H) & PH candidates for another 5 years, as per Govt. of Assam OM No. ABP.06/2016/04, dtd 03.03.2016.
How to apply Online on SSAASSAM.GOV.IN:
You should apply online in the website www.ssaassam.gov.in from 10 AM of 05.10.2016 to midnight of 25.10.2016.
You must apply only on online. No offline application will be accepted by SSA.
After login to the website of SSA Assam, you should fill-up following Information:
1. TET Type: CTET or Assam TET
2. If Assam TET, Name of TET Exam: Gen/6th Schedule/SM_ASM/Medium/Reserved Category
3. TET/CTET Roll No:_________________
4. TET/CTET Certificate No:_____________
5. Name of the Candidate:______________
6. Mobile No:________________________
7. Post Applied for: Asst. Teacher LP/ Asst. Teacher UP(SS)/ Asst. Teacher UP(M&S)
After filling up the above information click in the Submit Button, you will get an OTP in your registered Mobile No.
Now Enter the OTP and Click in the Submit Button .The applicant’s name, TET Type , Name of the TET Exam, Roll No, Certificate No, Mobile No, Post Applied for etc will be displayed.
You can also modify the entered data before final confirmation and submission.
Be very cautious while submitting the on line application form as once the online application is submitted. you will not be allowed to submit the online application form for second time against a particular Roll number of TET/CTET.
What to do after submission of Online Application:
After submitting the online application form, of SSA Assam, you will get a Unique Number against the submitted application. Keep the record of the Unique Number for all future reference.After successful submission of the online form, take a print out of the form and the printed signed application should be submitted along-with self attested copies of mark sheets and certificates in support of educational qualification, caste, disability, TET/CTET, professional qualification (D El Ed/B Ed and Co-curricular activities at the time of documents verification before the District Level Selection Committee of the concerned District.
You should note that failing to appear before District Level Selection & Verification Committee for verification of documents on the scheduled date and time will result in cancellation of your candidature. No further communication in this regard will be made.
The following original certificates and documents have to be produced and attested copies of the same to be submitted before the District Level Screening & Verification Committee on the specified date.
- Pass certificate and Mark sheet of Higher Secondary and Graduation.
- Pass Certificate, Admit Card and Marksheet of High School Leaving Examination.
- Pass Certificate and Mark sheet of Professional Qualification like D. El Ed, B.Ed. etc.
- Pass Certificate and Mark Sheet of TET/CTET
- Certificates in support of Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe (Plains or Hills)/ OBC/ MOBC
- Candidates with disabilities (Orthopedically Disabled) will have to enclose certificates of disabilities.
- Certificate of NCC (B & C certificate only), Sports and Cultural ( Representing State or Nation).
Important Dates:
- Starting Date to Apply Online: 05-10-2016 at 10:00 AM.
- Last Date to Apply Online: 25-10-2016 midnight.
- District level verification from: 01-11-2016 to 20-11-2016.
