Indian Air Force Job For NCC Cadets Without Entrance Exam

 

If you do not want to sit in an entrance exam, but you have a certificate from NCC, you can join Indian air force in the Flying Branch through the NCC special entry scheme.

If you have scored an A or B grade in your NCC ‘C’ Certificate exam, you can appear for the SSB interview directly without undergoing any other entrance examinations.

Eligibility criteria for NCC Special Entry Schemes to join IAF:

Age –Your age must be between to 24 years at the time of commencement of course to be eligible to enter the Air Force through this mode.

Nationality – Only an Indian Citizen can apply for this post.

Marital Status – You must be Single

Gender - Only men are allowed to join the Indian Air Force through NCC special entry mode and will be given a Permanent Commission.

Educational Qualifications to join IAF through NCC:

(a) Any Graduate in Three Year Course in any discipline from a recognized University is eligible for this post with minimum 60% marks or equivalent and have passed Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level

OR

(b) Any B.E. or B. Tech in Four Year Course from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent can apply for this post.

(c) A Final Year/semester student is also eligible to apply. He should produce Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advertisement.

You must have an NCC Air Wing Senior Division ’C’ certificate to have a career in Indian Air Force.

Selection Procedure for NCC Candidates:

You are eligible for SSB interview without any entrance exam like NDA, CDSe and AFCAT. To get selected you must pass in the SSB Interview which will be taken by the service selection board.

The SSB interview is a five days selection process. There will be personal interview, group testing etc. to check your personality, your leadership capacity etc.

Then you will have to pass in the PBT. You are allowed to appear in The Pilot Battery Aptitude Test only once in your lifetime.

This will test your ability to read instruments, mental strength and control over your movements.

If you qualify in the PABT and the subsequent medical examination, you will be sent for a training course at the Air Force Academy.

Thus, you will be commissioned as a pilot of the Indian Air Force after completion of your training from the AFA.


Conclusion:
